I'm actually taking a break from my studies to write this because my brain was threatening to turn into mush and slide out of my ears.
As of Thursday, I am done with Finals and start in on break! Once that happens, I'll try to get around to uploading the doodles I did at school this term.
Finals are, all things considered, reasonably easy. Two of my big final exams are actually take-home quizzes. Which means they're open-book quizzes. So the only reason I'll get them wrong is if I do the work incorrectly or just don't understand what I'm supposed to do.
This weekend, I have a chance for some Extra Credit as well. I'm going to get to be a judge at a LEGO robotics competition, along with a lot of my classmates. I'm really excited to do this as not only is it extra credit, but this is actually something I've wanted to do since I found out these competitions were a thing.
Another excitement is, my boss gives out annual year-end bonuses to everyone, and I spent mine on something I've been wanting for a REALLY long time now: a digital art tablet. It hasn't shipped yet, but I'm hoping it'll arrive before my break is over so I'll get some time to mess with it. I'm extremely excited for this as I think it's the next step in my growth as an artist. There's only so much you can do with a mouse after all, and as I read once, drawing with a mouse is sort of like drawing with a rock.

Another Update
As per my last update, I've been trying to be more active on here. That said, obviously I haven't done a lot of posting. I have a drawing I'm working on, but I haven't had much creative motivation lately. Same thing goes with my stories, though I'm starting to feel the writing itch building again finally. In exciting news though, I have a new job! While not exactly what I wanted, it's pretty close! I am a Technical Writer at Shimadzu US Manufacturing now. It's about a 5 minute drive from my house, which beats the 45 minute drive to Intel by a looonnnggg shot. The job also involves a lot more sitting and nowhere near as much fast-walking constantly. Also, no bunny suits. I've only been here a little over two weeks, but I really like it. The writing team is very friendly and welcoming, and there is an atmosphere of "no dumb questions, only stupid decisions that could have been avoided by asking questions" that makes being the newcomer a lot less intimidating. Life Update
I haven't been terribly active (again) here, though I'm (once again) trying to be more active. The "new" DeviantART still kind of sucks, but it's one of the very few websites that I actually have friends on so I'm loathe to leave it. Plus, I still prefer the layout here over any of the other art sharing websites out there. I also haven't been doing much in the way of drawing. My most recent upload was roughly six months in the making, wherein I would spend maybe five to ten minutes poking at it before putting it down again sometimes for days or even weeks. I have, however, been doing a lot of writing. I am working on a complete overhaul and new draft of Rats and am going into this one with the express purpose of publishing it. We'll see how well that goes, but that's the plan. My ultimate goal now for my life in general is to become a professional writer. Ideally I want to write novels and get them published, and make enough to live on doing that. I don't want to get rich or become

It's been quite a while since I've posted any updates (or art), so I figured it's high time I post SOMETHING. I've been trying to stay active here with varying degrees of success. I'm still working at Intel (essential worker yaaaaaayyyy...) and have been so far staying safe during the pandemic. I must admit some of my interest in dA has waned with the site changes. I'm rolling with them for the most part but a lot of them really are annoying and put a damper on my enjoyment of browsing here. I haven't been doing much in the art or writing department lately. Trying to get back into writing but for the most part what I'm working on probably won't get posted here as I'm hoping to publish it someday. A few months ago I completed the second draft for my big writing project that will be a full-length novel and possibly the first book in a trilogy. My sister is editing it for me and then I'll write what will (hopefully) be the final draft. I haven't got a lot of extra to add here. So many of
